- How do I create an online profile?
- Click the “Account” icon next to the Shopping Cart icon on the top right corner of the homepage. Then, click the “Register Here”. Select “(Students) Create profile for Browsing and Shopping”, enter the required information marked by an asterisk, and click “Submit Profile”.
- How do I edit my account information?
- Once you are logged into your account, go to “Update Your Profile”.
- How do I reset my password?
- Click the “Account” icon next to the Shopping Cart icon on the top right corner of the homepage. Then, click “Forgot Your Password?”, enter your email address, and wait for an email to reach your inbox for a new temporary password. If you do not receive your update password email, please feel free to contact the bookstore via email at [email protected]
- The system says my email address is invalid.
- Please double check the spelling of your email address. If you are using your student email address, please check to make sure there is period in @my.lowercolumbia.edu

- Can I be put on a list to be reminded when course material adoption deadlines are approaching?
- Faculty are sent reminders before deadlines to ensure orders are received in a timely manner.
- How do I place my course material adoptions online?

- What are the course material adoption deadlines?
- Please be on the lookout as you will receive emails from our staff on when the next quarter’s adoptions are due. Typically, all textbook adoptions are due at least two months prior to the start of the next quarter.
- What happens if I miss a course material adoption deadline?
- Your course materials may not arrive in stock in our store at the start of the quarter and/or the price of the materials may be higher than originally anticipated due to less stock being available for sale from the wholesalers and publishers.
- Where is the Bookstore located?

- What forms of payment does the Bookstore accept?
- Visa, MasterCard, LCC Bookstore Gift Cards, and cash are accepted at the LCC Bookstore.
- What items are excluded from discounts?
- Consumable items such as food and/or drink, textbooks, and some technology items do not qualify for discounts.
- Do you have size charts for products?
- Coming soon.
- How do I order books and merchandise online?
- Click the homepage and select the catalog you would like to purchase items from. For textbooks, click “textbooks” and “order textbooks”. Select your Courses by Quarter, Department, then Course/Section/Instructor, then click “view your materials”. Select which type of textbook you would like to purchase – new version, used version, digital (coming soon), or rental (coming soon). Proceed through until checkout.
- Why would the Bookstore substitute books on my online order?
- Inventory displayed is not “real time”. If your order preference is not available when your order is pulled, substitutions for the lowest priced equivalent items will be made and you will be charged the difference without additional notice. Items may be refunded per refund policy.
- Why do I have multiple charges on my credit card account?
- The Bookstore may not have all your items available at the time you place your order. If it is necessary to place items on backorder you may have multiple charges on your card. You are never charged for an item until it is in stock.
- How long will my order take to arrive?
- Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to be processed. If you have selected “FedEx-2 Day” as your shipping method, please allow at least 2 business days for your order to be delivered to your address. You will receive an email confirmation with your FedEx tracking number once the label has been created and is ready to ship. You may also check your order status under your “Account” under “Track Orders”.
- What if my class is not listed on the booklist?
- If a class is not listed on the Booklist it may mean that no book is required, or that a decision is still pending. Check back before classes start to see if the status has changed.
- Can I return my textbooks?
- Textbooks may be returned within the first week of the quarter with a receipt. You may return your textbooks the second week of the quarter as well as long as you have proof of withdrawal from the course and have a valid receipt. If you do not have proof of withdrawal for the course, your will receive a maximum of 75% of the original value of the textbook. - Can I return merchandise bought online or in-store?
- No refunds or exchanges on SALE merchandise. All regular-priced merchandise must be returned within 10 days of purchase, with a valid receipt. View our Return Policy here: https://bookstore.lowercolumbia.edu/privacy#refunds
- How are e-books and digital content items delivered to me?
- Items labelled with “Digital Content (DC)” on the catalog will be delivered digitally to your email address after store processing is complete. No physical product will be shipped in this case. E-book codes not labelled with “Digital Content (DC)” are contained on a physical card and will be included in your shipment or prepaid order.
- What are the shipping options offered for online orders?
- FedEx 2-day Shipping or Pay Online, Pick Up In-Store
- How much is shipping for online orders?
- Depending on the quarter, the Bookstore will often offer free shipping for select dates prior to the start of the quarter. Otherwise, shipping is based on the total amount of your online order.
- Can my order be shipped Internationally?
- Unfortunately, we cannot ship internationally.
- Can my order be shipped to a P.O. Box?
- Unfortunately, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes as FedEx does not deliver to these addresses. Please provide a physical mailing address for your online order if you wish to have it shipped, otherwise, there may be delays in delivering your order or your order might be cancelled.
- Can I pick up my online order in store?
- Yes, when going through checkout online, please select “pick up in store” and select a date that you would like to pick up your order.
- How long will it take to process my in-store pick up order?
- Online orders cannot be processed for same-day pickup. Please select a date that you would like to pick your order upon checkout so our staff has time to package & process your order.
- How will I know my order is ready to be picked up?
- You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been packaged & is ready for pickup. Please check our hours of operation before arriving: https://bookstore.lowercolumbia.edu/storehours
- Where do I pick up my order?
- Please check our website for store operating hours here: https://bookstore.lowercolumbia.edu/storehours and you will be able to pick up your online order in store. You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been packaged & is ready for pickup. Please do not arrive until receiving this email.
- How can I get a copy of my order receipt?

- When will my credit card be charged?
- Your credit card or SFA book voucher funding will be charged when our staff processes your order and packages the order.
- Why is there a $1.00 hold on my credit card for my online order?
- There is a temporary charge of $1.00 for all online orders to verify card information before your order is officially processed. This is to help prevent fraudulent activity.
- How do I pay for an online order if I don’t have a credit card?
- At this time, online order must be paid for by credit/debit card and/or Student Financial Aid book voucher funding. If you have neither, please contact us at (360) 442-2240 for our hours of operation and you may stop by to pay with cash.
- How can I use my Student Financial Aid Book Voucher funding to purchase my textbooks online?

In order to use your book voucher, please follow these steps…
- Click “Textbooks”, then “Order Textbooks”
- Search for your courses – you can get this information from your Canvas class schedule
- Select the textbooks you wish to purchase by clicking the “dot” next to the price, then click “add to cart”
- Click “Continue Checkout”
- Answer the three questions before finalizing your shopping cart – we recommend “allowing substitutions” as inventory on used/new textbooks vary in store
- Click “Payment Options”
- Log-in to your Bookstore Account, or Register for a new account if this is your first time visiting our new website
- At the “Checkout” screen, select “Click here to see what items in your cart are covered by your Financial Aid funds.”
- Enter your CTCLink Student ID and click “Submit”
- On the next screen, you will see what books are covered or not covered based on your book voucher qualifications
- Click “Return to Checkout” NOTE: If you do not see an awarded amount here, the Financial Aid Office may still be in the process of awarding your voucher. Please check in another day or so.
- Select which option you want to receive your textbook order – pickup at curbside, or have your order shipped directly to you
- Click “Continue” at the Checkout screen
- At the final stage of checkout, select “Book Voucher” as your payment option if you wish to apply your book voucher to your order
- Enter your CTCLink Student ID
- Check the “Yes, I am authorizing my Student Financial Aid to be used for this order” option
- Click “Submit Payment” and you’re all set!
- Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process your online order and feel free to give us a call if you have any questions. Our store hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm.
- What are my options if I cannot afford my course materials?

- If you are struggling to pay for your course textbooks, the Lower Columbia College Library may be able to help. Visit this Website to learn more.
- There may be options for you to earn a Student Financial Aid book voucher as well. See questions above for more info.
- How to access e-books purchased from the bookstore?
- You will get an email after you have purchased the e-book with directions on how to access your e-book the first time. Once accessed, if the book is labeled as Vitalsource it will be at https://lowercolumbia-bookshelf.vitalsource.com. If the book is labeled as Redshelf, it will be at https://redshelf.com.
- How do I return an e-book to the bookstore?
- Make sure to check our refund policy. The e-book cannot be accessed, for the bookstore to refund you. Please come in person, call, or email the bookstore with your order information asking for a refund.
- Should I buy my required e-books from the “Order e-Books” tab?
- Order your required e-books under the “Textbooks” then “Order Textbooks” tab with the rest of your required textbooks. This is for our separate e-book store. You can check for e-books, if there is no e-book version of your required text available on the “Order Textbooks” page.
- I bought an e-Book before Spring 23 and cannot find it in my bookshelf.
- We now offer two options of types of e-books, so would increase the amount of books we offer to students. If you bought your e-Book before Spring 23 your e-Book is a RedShelf e-book. If you bought an e-book from the e-book store or one labeled VitalSource, these are from Vitalsource. They are separate e-Book providers. You can access VitaSource e-Books at https://lowercolumbia-bookshelf.vitalsource.com/. You can access your Redshelf e-Books at https://redshelf.com
- Why is there a separate “Order e-Books” tab?
- This is a store where you can purchase any e-Book you would like. It does not have to be a required course material. You can buy an e-Book of a bestselling novel or you can buy an e-Book version of a required text that the bookstore does not offer in a digital version under the “Order Textbooks” tab. Check your class first to see if we are already stocking an e-book version of your required text. This will be cheaper than buying it from the e-book store.
- How do I get to the e-Book store?
- You can find it under the “Textbooks” tab, labeled as “Order E-Books” or at the URL https://lccbookstore.vitalsource.com.
- Can I use my book voucher to buy an e-Book from the “Order e-Book” tab?
- No, this is a separate store from the bookstore. This can only be paid with your own personal funds. Use your book voucher under the “Order Textbook” tab.
- How do I get refunded from the e-Book store?
- The bookstore cannot refund the e-books purchased from the e-book store. You will need to go to your bookshelf, https://lowercolumbia-bookshelf.vitalsource.com/. Log-in and select purchases. You will see the e-books you have purchased from the “Order e-Book” tab. Select the “Refund” box to the right of the title of the e-Book. You cannot return an e-Book that you have already accessed. If you cannot see this option, it might mean you have already accessed it and it cannot be refunded.
- How do I check my gift card balance?
- Log in to your Online Account then select the “Gift Card Balance Inquiry”. You may “Reload Gift Card” online as well.
- How do I pay for my order with a LCC Bookstore gift card?
- Select gift card as payment and enter card and pin number when prompted. If there is a balance due, you will need to enter additional payment information before placing your order.
- How do I know how much my books are worth?
- Please log-in to your online account, then click the “View My Buyback Alert List”. Enter your textbook ISBNs, and be notified via email when we are accepting buybacks in-store.
- How do I sell back my books if I live far away?
- Please email the Bookstore at [email protected] and one of our associates will be in contact as soon as possible.
- Can I sell back books from previous quarters?
- Yes, although it is most likely to be bought back if it is being used for the next quarter, it is possible that it will be bought for someone else.
